Living each day like we just broke or are about to break
Until it's thursday and we’re at the Scratcher by 8:00 PM
Call me just to say that the train is slowing down
"can we push this back?"

Refilling my water once again
You've got somewhere you've got to be uptown around 10:00 PM
So it’s 45 minutes in a dive bar
Where we don't say much of anything at all
That's alright i don't mind i'm just glad you made the haul
