Newton’s Law lyrics

by

John Michael Howell

Gravity pulls us all in at a set degree
Mass determines how fast it’ll be
Now I’m no man of science but my heart is like a giant
So maybe soon you’ll be fallin’ for me

Then I’d say “my oh my what did Newton do to me
When he sat there underneath that apple tree?
‘Cause I can’t help but think loves not such a mystery
But it’s simple mm-mm as gravity.”

Statistically there’s an awful lot of fish in the sea
Each may even be a better catch
Oh I understand that math says we’re no kind of match
So watch this optimistic opposite attract. mm-mm

Then I’d say “my oh my what did Newton do to me
When he sat there underneath that apple tree?
‘Cause I can’t help but think loves not such a mystery
But it’s simple mm-mm as gravity.”

Well it’s far from the truth to say that I’ve won your heart
Honestly we’re lightyears apart
But I’ve got a feeling this is only the start
And one day you’ll be fallin’ for me
Yeah maybe one day you’ll be fallin’ for me
