Here's an important date in my life: November 12th, 1925. That’s when we made the first recordings by my own Hot Five. And in that band was: Kid Ory, trombone, Johnny St. Cyr, banjo, guitar, Lil Hardin, who was my fiancé at that time, piano and Johnny Dodds, clarinet.
