My nerves are shattered
My breathing`s getting poor,
People shove and push me
Many body parts are sore,
My coat has lost a button
A heel gone from one shoe,
This is all out of my control
I don`t know what to do.
I can`t move forward
As I try to protect my head,
No way can I move left or right
So backwards I go instead,
Now I hear a scream
I daren`t look around
Someone I may have stepped on
Or knocked them to the ground.
I can`t take anymore of this
So a statue I will be
Let others move around me
So I can then get free,
I`ve forgotten any bargains
In my struggle to survive
I`ll never queue for another sale
As I aim to stay alive.
