From pouring rain from a jug on Rosebank
As my leg gets caught beneath a trailer
And I learn my first lesson in bad luck
From some irresponsible neighbours
To crying in hospital wards and departures
As loss and people leaving me becomes assured
Curled up with a book on the hospice floor
Starting to understand why I can't go home anymore
